1. Thanks for a great year! Have a fantastic summer!
2. Keep playing your instruments over the summer. This is a great time to begin private lessons. Also, there are many enjoyable instrumental books on-line and at local music stores which have play-along CD’s of your favorite music.
3. Next year’s 8th Grade Jazz Band members - there are recordings of much of your summer folder on this website. Practice the music in this folder as best you can, so we can start the new school year off on a high note! Check this website regularly, as recordings might be updated.

The Lakota Ridge band program
consists of 160 7th grade students divided into
three separate band classes. There are 125 8th

has 37 students in 8th grade jazz band during the
first semester and 36 students in 7th grade jazz

meet five days a week and are directed by Mrs.
Sherri Voytek and Mr. Brian Botdorf.
Mr. Brian Botdorf received
a bachelor of music degree from Bowling Green State

Ashland University. He started at Lakota Schools
(East) in the Fall of 2001 and has been at Ridge
since the Fall of 2003. He works with the Ridge
