Students, Parents, and Friends,

My tenure at Lakota West High School has undoubtedly been one of great joy and fulfillment. I cannot say enough about how much the PEOPLE of this band program have touched my life for eternity. I cannot thank you all enough for welcoming and embracing me within your band family. I have always felt like I was an integral part of the "fold" from my start.

I also must express a huge THANK YOU for all of the letters, cards, gifts, and kind words that I have received in the past weeks. The gifts have gone beyond the realms of generous and just been downright miraculous! Your letters and kind words have been an inspiration and affirmation and I will treasure them forever. I have saved every letter for my scrapbook. Thank you.

To the students, I wish you all the best and know that it is in store for you. Each one of you is a very special person with talents and gifts unlike any other. Thank you for sharing them with me and the rest of the group. My stay has been filled with joy because of you!

To the parents, I know that you will continue to support and nurture this great program just as you do your children. You have sacrificed so much for the benefit of your own children and there is no greater sacrifice than that.

To my friends and colleagues, I am confident that you will continue to inspire the young men and women of this program. Your relentless pursuit of personal excellence has set the standard for what it means to be an extraordinary human being. Just as you have inspired these students, you have inspired me to be the best I can in every instance. Thank you for always "being there" for me.
